This week, The Edge featured a pull-out article of “65 Malaysian Websites That We Like + 1″ for 2009. I was overjoyed to learn that my food blog http://www.what2seeonline.com was included in the list. My greatest gratitude and thanks to The Edge for choosing my blog. This is definitely a good start for the year and in many ways act as a motivation for me to improve my blog in every way.
From my understanding, these 65 websites were chosen based on several selection criteria, mainly on the importance of the aesthetics, content and functionality. All these compiled websites are not rank yet and mainly sorted alphabetically. However, the mere fact of being able to be part of this list compiled by The Edge, is already an achievement itself for me.
According to the editor, the only “Miss” in my blog is the continuous playing of the background song. I have now removed that function from my blog.
This is the second time I have been featured in the mass media, the first being the interview by Guang Ming and now being featured in The Edge. I would like to reserve my greatest gratitude to my fellow readers who have supported me and my blog over the past one and a half years. Without all of your support, these will not be happening. I sincerely hope that everyone will continue reading as I will continue to bring you the best Penang culinary has to offer.
Congratulations to my fellow Penang Food Blogger, PenangTuaPui on making it on the list as well. I am happy that both our food blog were chosen as in a way it would help to promote Penang as a food haven. I personally hope this will further strengthen the claim that Penang is indeed a food haven, as mentioned in the New York Times article featuring “The 44 Places to go in 2009″.
