‘Bordeaux Rendezvous’ 2013 is a wine dinner organized by French wine merchants Barriere Freres in conjunction with their local importer The Wine Shop. Held at E&O Hotel’s brand new Victory Annex, the event attended by wine connoisseurs, hospitality professionals and media started with the Master Class of 2010 vintages, followed by a Wine Dinner.
The event designed to promote French wines in Asia showcased many different styles which Bordeaux produces, with some prestigious labels.
Guests at the wine dinner were treated to the Conti Neri-Prosecco, a sparkling white wine before heading to the ballroom where Bordeoux wines from many vintages were available for tasting.
Wine producers from each chateau introduced their wines. There were wonderful whites and superb red wines, with Château Lagrange 2003 (RM470), Château Lascombes-Margaux 2001 (RM590), Château Haut Bailly-Pessac-Léognan 2003(RM530) and the highly priced Chateau Leoville Poyferre 2001 (Rm1010.00).
Guests enjoyed the wine with food designed by Executive Chef Petr Feher. Served buffet-style, the savory and sweet delicacies came with different composition of ingredients.
It was a memorable night, with a Yum Seng Toast which had everyone shouting on top of their voice. YuuuuummmmmSeng to a flavorful Bordeaux tasting experience!!!
