Hilton Worldwide will be working with Pinnacle Nexus, a member of Cornerstone Partners, to introduce the DoubleTree by Hilton brand to Penang. The resort is the third property in Malaysia, after DoubleTree by Hilton Kuala Lumpur and DoubleTree by Hilton Johor Baru.
Located in the northern beach area of Penang, the existing hotel building (former Hydro Majestic Hotel) will undergo an extensive refurbishment. The RM230 million project is expected to be completed by the end of this year and set for opening early 2016.
The new resort is designed to meet the needs of travelers. In total there will be 318 rooms, ballroom, function rooms, recreational areas, a lobby bar, a café, and three restaurants where food is served.
What’s more, the resort incorporates TeddyVille, the first teddy bear themed museum and gallery in Malaysia. The museum will feature the rich history of Malaysia in a fun way through adorable teddy bears in many formats.

There is more to the event held at 32 Mansion. I found myself meeting up with some friends, including Bok a.k.a Taufulou, a food and lifestyle blogger whom I have known for many years. Thank you Bok for sharing this lovely photo.
