A lotus flower. Mystical. Magic. An element stretching back to the many years culminating in China’s culture and history. This dessert dish ends a spectacular dinner. A banquet of such imperialism goes hand in hand with a blockbuster event held at Putrajaya, Marriott Hotel.

Hong Leong Yamaha Motor Sdn. Bhd. recently came out with their Lagenda110ZR to cater to those who prefer more sporty features on their motorcycles. The two prominent features are the cast wheels and the rear absorber with extra oil canister for smoother ride. The latter feature should be quite practical given the condition of our present roads – “full of pot holes and uneven surfaces.
Presently Hong Leong Yamaha only spray blue for this model. Hope they have more colours later on just like the other new model Lagenda110Z colours which are very striking and eye catching.

Hong Leong Yamaha Motor Sdn. Bhd. recently launched their new motorcycle, the FZ150i under the theme “Innovation and Power”. Under “innovation” comes the first fuel injection engine for locally assemble motorcycle and as for “power” comes 150cc. The bike comes with delta box frame and is liquid cool. With all these features we thought it will cost a “bomb” but they tag it less then RM8,000. Killer for those bike enthusiastic who cannot dig too deep into their pockets. This model comes in three colours – red, black and green, all metallic and all the colours were vibrant and catchy. More information can be found at their official web site

As for this colour……….. well, is their “concept bike” and cannot be found on the road!!!. Luckily, hubby took the opportunity to take a snap shot with it before they ship it to their warehouse.
After the launching we were treated to their annual dinner. Food and drinks were plenty. We were even treated to an early “yee-sang” dish. The “God of Prosperity” took time out to hand each of us a mandarin orange and an any-pow – guess the aim was to give us early prosperity.
The launch was held at Genting Highland Convention Centre. As it was near Chinese New Year, the hotel and the theme park was decorated with Chinese lanterns.

What make heads turn and eyes glitter when they reach the Burma Road and Anson Road junction???
No doubt, it is the posh showroom of the above logo that needs no introduction….
This state of the art center looks very different now as compare to its earlier days when it was a showroom of another car company. Besides displaying their latest cars, they also have their MINI and BMW motorcycles.
They have not stop upgrading and renovating since they shifted here in August and I have counted that they had already held three buffet. They do have a big budget$$$$$.
SYABAS to Auto Bavaria for giving a fresh new look to this landmark located in one of the busy and bustling main road of the island.
Went through my files and found these photos taken in 2003 at the Esplanade featuring superbikes. They came from all over the country to exhibit their bikes.
Hope they will organise this type of gathering again soon.
The Penang Auto and Road Safety Show (Paros) was held recently at Penang International Sports Arena (22nd June to 24th June 2007). My hubby suggested that we visit this exhibition cos he personally has a great interest for motorcycles.
There were around 20 exhibitors including many automobile-related companies. On displayed was the latest cars, motorcycles and car audio systems but we spend most of the time in the motorcycle booths.
Just look at these scooters….. the amount of time repainting them – using airbursh painting method. Its a work of art- very impressive, don’t you think so???
