Recently Asiaeuro held the Evans & Tate Margaret River wine dinner at Tiffins Parkroyal Resort Penang. The event had a selection of Margaret Rivers’ finest white and red wines from Evans & Tate paired with a delicious meal crafted by Chef Tan Jee Aun and his team.

Canapes were served and guests enjoyed prawns with coconut curry, air-dried beef on beetroot hummus and feta & mint melon with the 2013 Evans & Tate Gnangara Sauvignon Blanc. The refreshing wine with fresh lime zest, fig, passion fruit and grassy flavours was delightful.

Also present at the event was McWilliam’s Sales Director Asia Pacific, Garrick Harvison. Garrick provided insight of the winery and the varieties of wines

A group of wine enthusiasts and foodies embarked on an evening, dining on five-courses of Chef Tommes’, cutting-edge cuisine with pairing. It is indeed exciting seeing this food trend in That Little Wine Bar, located on Chow Thye Road, Penang.

The Cutting Edge Night menu offers a selection of traditional European cuisine presented with a twist. While the essence of the dish is preserved, the presentation is totally different. The dishes were paired with a selection of European wines from several wineries.

Last July, many food and wine enthusiasts gathered at a wine dinner in the relaxed surroundings of Suffolk House with George Shinas of the Shinas Estate. It was an evening of great food accompanied by hand crafted wines from the vineyards of Victoria, Australia.

Winemaker George Shinas who is a court judge by profession in Australia’s Victoria Province provided some history to his wines which are cheekly named. The range included the Innocent (a Viognier), Verdict (Cabernet Sauvignon), Guilty (Shiraz), Executioner and Sweet Justice (Moscato), all with interesting images on the label.
