I had time to catch up with Taiwanese personality and celebrity Chef Chen Hong (陳鴻) during his recent trip to Penang, the island of delicious food. Celebrity chef, restaurateur, author, entrepreneur, and television personality, Todd English was in Penang recently for the filming of his TV show. Based in Boston, Massachusetts, United States, Todd English is best known for his restaurant, Olives, located in both Boston, Massachusetts, and Las Vegas, Nevada and his TV cooking show, Food Trip with Todd English, on PBS.

When Nadge contacted me about meeting up with Chef Todd, I quickly took up the invitation and tagged alongside the acclaimed chef and the crew during the recording of the show. The outing was truly inspiring, and has opened up a world of ideas for me, seeing the chef ‘in action’.

Things will be spicing up at Starhill Gallery with the launch of its coming annual Midsummer Nights Feast on the 2nd July 2010. The eight day festival promises the presence of top celebrity chefs featuring special menus of fine food paired with great wine, accompanied by music and fashion shows.

The tagline for this year’s event is Experience the Fine Art of Flavours, and it will definitely live up to its name with vibrant delicious cuisines forming delightful artistry created by the celebrity chefs. I was invited to the press conference and food samplings. Well, there are plenty of tasty delights and I sampled plenty of fabulous cuisine that will be offered at this year’s culinary event.

Chef Martin Yan was in Malaysia recently upon his appointment as the brand ambassador for GE Monogram. I had a great food adventure watching the international celebrity chef in a live cooking demonstration which was held in collaboration with General Electric and Kollektion Distribution Sdn Bhd at Starhill Kuala Lumpur.

The event was presented exclusively for the YTL Platinum Plus members and the media.

It was to my delight and honor that I was invited to the new menu launching event at 7atenine, the trendiest dining outlet located in Ascott Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. I personally feel that the ambiance and atmosphere creates a savvy and suave dining, with a trendy new outlooks coupled with the beautifully designed cuisines to meet everyone’s taste buds.

The event was graced by the presence of renowned celebrity Chef Emmanuel Stroobant. He has his own program, Chef In Black which is broadcasted on the Asian Food Channel (AFC).
