Fish head curry is an all time favorite delicacy for many. The fish head curry is categorized into many different styles of cooking with their respective combination of spices: Indian style, Nyonya, Chinese and Malay! There are those which are spicy and sourish while others laden with thick coconut milk. All in all, there is plenty of variety when it comes to Fish Head Curry.

I recently discovered the tempting taste of spices at Passions of Kerala. There are currently two outlets in Penang – one in Gelugor, and the other in New World Park.

The menu in the New World Park outlet consists of banana leaf rice served with an assortment of vegetable dishes as well as other popular curries and fried chicken, squid and fish.

A food trip this time around across the bridge took us to Nibong Tebal, Penang. We patronized this old style kopitiam Lim Aik Chew. This place is known for its fresh large prawns, and is popular among the tourist and locals alike.

Top of the menu was the prawns, of course! These famous prawns comes in several sizes, and subsequently with different prices. Their signature cooking method of these prawns is the Dried Curry, although there are other methods as well.
