Euro Deli, a landmark brand which has been in our shores since 1991 had recently held a launching event at their Damansara Kim restaurant after undergoing some renovation. The outlet, now occupying two shoplots has a relaxed dining ambiance. On top of that, there is also a section selling its signature products such as sausages, cold cutlets and other products.

One of my favorite places for Beef noodles has to be the shop at the intersection of Beach and Chulia Street. This place is also known as the BOMBA BEEF KOAY TEOW as the landmark that stands out would be the fire station, located right opposite it. The shop has been selling beef noodles for many years now, and is still a hit with the locals and foreigners alike.

The Singaporean food hunters of the Canon Singapore Photography & Food Trip in Penang had the craving for the island’s best Char Koay Teow and went all out to try it! The first stop for the day was the famed Ah Leng Char Koay Teow. This famous stall is located in Kafe Khoon Hiang with its frontage facing Dato Kramat road and its side to Dunlop Road.

Most Penangites would have heard or tried the famous night-time Duck Koay Chiap in Kimberley Street, Penang. It is a stall by the roadside located just a few shops down from Restaurant Goh Huat Seng. The proprietor, Mr Por has been been serving Koay Chiap for almost twenty-nine years in this usual selling spot. For over the span of three decades, Mr Por has insisted on using local ingredients, while preparing everything himself. Ranging from the Koay Chiap to the stewed duck to the chili sauce, everything is prepared by him and has remained his trade secret all this while.
