PARKROYAL Penang Resort Transformation Celebration
It is now time to experience a new sense of arrival at PARKROYAL Penang Resort following a major renovation. The logo of the beach resort was launched on the “Transformation Celebration” night of 1st February 2018 by Penang Chief Minister YAB Tuan Lim Guan Eng.
Centrally located along the famed Batu Ferringhi beach in Penang, the resort with a history of almost 30 years has undergone a MYR55 million transformation project and is now welcoming discerning leisure and business travellers as a premium deluxe resort.
Upon arrival, guests will receive a warm welcome at the revamped reception area which opens out to the palm-fringed sea. With timber furnishings, soothing lights, and touches of local artwork, the reception area is a welcoming sight.
PARKROYAL Penang Resort consists of 309 refreshed guestrooms comprising 284 rooms and also 25 suites fitted with soft furnishing and contemporary bathroom amenities for business and leisure travellers.
The resort also introduces the Javana Lounge which overlooks the resort’s outdoor gardens and swimming pools. The 80-seater stylish lounge upgraded with sofa beds and workstations is the place to relax over light bites, cocktails, and live entertainment.
At the Cinnamon Restaurant, get ready to whet the appetites with a menu offering a selection of Asian dishes and local food. The modern and casual restaurant overlooking the landscaped garden offers a combination of indoor and outdoor seating.

The launch of the event started off with a lion dance and followed by a welcoming speech by Mr Edward Kollmer, general manager of PARKROYAL Penang Resort.
