Wine for Asia (WFA) and the Singapore Tourism Board recently invited many guests to attend their Wine For Asia 2010 Roadshow Presentation Tasting Event. I was down in Kuala Lumpur during the weekend to attend this roadshow, which was held at Vintry, Jaya 33.

The event started with welcome opening speech by Gerald Lum, area director Malaysia International Group, followed by Malcolm Tham, programme director of WFA and another by Thomas Ling, IBE.

Refreshments and wines were served and enjoyed by all. The guests had the opportunity to savor the Saint Clair Sauvignon Blanc 2009 from the region of Marlborough in New Zealand and the red, 2007 Chateau de Seguin Grand Vin De Bordeaux.

A toast with the 2007 Chateau de Seguin Grand Vin De Bordeaux

Wine For Asia (WFA) 2010 is returning on the 28th and 29th October 2010 with its inaugural wine event that will be held at the Sands Expo & Convention Centre. It is located right in the heart of the city at Marina Bay Sands. The event – “Asia’s 1stGrand Bordeaux Trio Seminar” will be showcasing a four-nation initiative that involves Malaysia, Thailand, China and Singapore. It will be a benefiting event for the whole of Asian region.

Whether you are a wine buff or even wish to equip yourself, this event would be a great way to do so. I have registered to gain some interesting experience, and registration is still open for those who are interested.
