Swez Brasserie at Eastin Hotel, Penang which has been serving its Aussie Tucker theme buffet  is back again this year, showcasing many other favorites. Available during lunch, hi-tea and dinner for the month of January 2014 (except 31 January), the menu this round offers a spread, with a selection of appetizers, mains and lovely desserts.

Take a pick from the many appetizers. The deep-fried corn and Haloumi fritters made with a mixture of cheese, corn, onion, carrot, egg and cucumber are especially addictive complimented by the sour cream and caviar.

Apart from the deep-fried fritters, another appetizer worth trying is the Zucchini bites. This light and refreshing appetizer has roasted flesh of the zucchini blended with cream, cheese, herbs and served wrap in zucchini skin.

For those who like potato, tuck into the roasted kumara salad. This simple salad of sweet potatoes, baby tomatoes, red beans and onions has a good creamy dressing.

There is the Aussie roast carrot soup, with a blending of roasted carrots in stock with a touch of cumin. The soup differs a little, with slightly overpowering hint of the spice.

The main courses in a varieties of preparations include a range of meat, pasta and seafood dishes such as Aussie prawn, macadamia nuts pesto pasta, Tasmania mussel with garlic butter and grilled chicken breast.

The slightly bland grilled chicken is brightened up with the barbecue glaze and sweetness of the vegetables.

Swez Brasserie serves up various sweetened delights. There are lamingtons, pavlova decorated with cream and fresh fruits, chocolate mousse and much more.

The light fluffy lamingtons rolled in desiccated coconut and garnished with fresh strawberry are truly delicious, being coated with strong flavors of double shot espresso.

Swez Brasserie’s Aussie Tucker prepared by Chef Kelvin Cheong and Chef Mohd Fauzi Bin Illias is available for lunch, from Monday to Friday. The buffet is priced at RM50++ per adult and RM25++ per child. The Semi Buffet Dinner at RM50++ per person is available only from Sunday to Tuesday and Thursday.

The hi-tea which is available on Saturday and Sunday (from 12pm – 4pm) is priced at RM68++ per adult and RM34++ per child.

Swez Brasserie offers a special discount of 15% for all Maybankard, Standard Chartered Bank, CIMB Bank, Citibank and Mastercard Worldwide card members for the Aussie Tucker semi buffet dinner which is available from Monday to Thursday and weekend buffet dinner (Friday & Saturday) from 6.30pm till 10pm.
